The Casitas at Casa Higuera in Sayulita
The Casitas at Casa Higuera in Sayulita are a collection of four 1-bedroom beachfront studios offering a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and traditional Mexican design. Located on the exclusive south-side hill overlooking Sayulita Bay, these casitas are just steps from the beach and village, yet feel secluded within a lush tropical setting.
Built with a mix of traditional and contemporary architecture, each casita features palapa roofs, Spanish arches, vaulted ceilings, and hand-painted Talavera tiles. Thoughtfully decorated with authentic Mexican art and crafts collected from across the country, every space captures the warmth and color of Mexico’s coastal culture.
Each casita offers approximately 800 square feet of private living space. The open studio layout includes a king-size bed, private bath, and a comfortable living area with a couch that can double as a twin bed for an additional guest. Through wide French doors, the living space opens to a private ocean-view terrace with an outdoor dining area shaded by a palapa roof—perfect for enjoying a morning coffee, cooking in your fully equipped kitchen, or watching the sun set over the bay.
Guests enjoy access to the property’s UV-filtered pool surrounded by tropical gardens and a private beachfront area with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and full food and drink service from The Dock, our sister beach restaurant. Amenities include daily housekeeping (except Sundays), air conditioning, fans, mosquito netting, a safe for valuables, and high-speed Wi-Fi.

We kindly ask for at least one month’s notice for a full refund. After that, a full refund will be provided if we’re able to re-rent the accommodation. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and we will do our best to work with you if something prevents you from traveling.
We had a wonderful week and divided out time between the pool, our veranda, and the beach. The beach chairs were a nice touch. Going to sleep to the sound of waves and waking up to the sun, the sounds of wildlife, and the town coming alive is the making of core memories.
Everything was walkable from that end of town. The hills were tough in the heat, but walking into the space was very rewarding.
We agree that this ranks in the top 2 of all of the places we have stayed over the years.
The place was beautiful.
You could spend your entire day at the pool and patio if you wanted.
Great dinning close by, beach was beautiful.
I would recommend getting a golf cart if you are afraid of stairs.
