Casita #5 at Casa Higuera in Sayulita is a charming one-bedroom beachfront studio designed for couples or solo travelers seeking tranquility, ocean views, and authentic Mexican charm. Perched on Sayulita’s exclusive south-side hill overlooking the bay, this casita offers a peaceful retreat just steps from the beach and town.
Built with a mix of traditional and contemporary Mexican design, the space features palapa-style roofs, Spanish arches, vaulted ceilings, and hand-painted Talavera tiles. Beautifully decorated with Mexican art and crafts collected from across the country, Casita #5 blends warmth and color with the simplicity of coastal living.
The casita’s open studio layout includes a king-size bed, private bath, comfortable sitting area, and a fully equipped kitchen, allowing guests to prepare and enjoy meals at home. Large windows and an open layout bring in natural light and sea breezes, so you can enjoy the ocean view—even without leaving the bed.
Outside, guests have access to a UV-filtered pool set in a tropical garden oasis and a private beachfront area with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and full food and drink service from The Dock, the property’s sister beach restaurant.
Casita #5 offers all the comforts of home, including daily housekeeping (except Sundays), air conditioning, ceiling and floor fans, mosquito netting, a safe for valuables, and fast, reliable Wi-Fi provided by a private local company.

- High Season (Nov–Apr): $1,200 per week
- Low Season (May–Oct): $900 per week

We kindly ask for at least one month’s notice for a full refund. After that period, a full refund will be provided if we’re able to re-rent the accommodation. We understand that unexpected situations can arise and will always do our best to work with you if something prevents you from traveling.
We struggled a little bit to find the place. But once we walked down playa sayulita and found “the dock” restaurant, it was no problem from there.
I would highly recommend this vacation rental. And would most definitely stay again.
Also, very quiet for Sayulita, direct beach front but out of the main square so the noise is much less. Also not by a busy road.
Still only 5 mins to walk to square.
Fishing and surfing right outside the property!
My only complaints are that the shower had almost no pressure, and the last day we had no water at all and could not get ahold of staff so had to leave with no shower to our plane.
Also; I would prefer a king bed in such a nice room.
But otherwise, excellent place! Highly recommended!
The dedicated beach area is against a dust road and between the pangas so it wasn't where we hung out. It's close enough to The Dock (bar/restaurant) that was probably one of the better places to hang out.
Surfing was good right out front door beginners and the true Sayulita wave just a few 100m north.
Casita #5 is situated at the top of the property. The porch is nice with some palm tree views but faces right into the casa Sofia so you're somewhat at the mercy of whoever is staying there whether they are coming and going often.
The staff and check in was outstanding.
All in all I would 100% stay here again (maybe move to one of the other locations on the property).
