Great ambiance, could improve on service for larger events

This spot feels like a hidden oasis nestled in the corner of downtown Sayulita. The ambiance is cute and there are loads of charming details like the open air patio, tile floors, little gravel area in the back, which is why we were so excited to book them for our welcome party ahead of our wedding. We had eaten there before and confirmed the food was delicious, and communicated directly ahead of time that we wanted passed canapes (and also, which ones needed to be smaller in order to make it easier to pass around). So far, so good. However when the day came it felt a little disorganized — they did not serve the food until 1.5-2 hours into the event and only did so when we asked them about the hold up. Turns out they were waiting for guests to sit so they could serve family style (?) and then when they did, they didn't communicate what food was being served. One of our guests with a shellfish allergy unknowingly ate shrimp and had to leave to go get medication.

All in all, there is potential here and the venue + staff are very lovely. But communication and follow-through could be improved upon.

Excellent Food and Drink

We visit this place each time we are in town. Margaritas are excellent and we love the sashimi of the day and guacamole. And most importantly- the service is very welcoming and accommodating.

I spent a week in Sayulita and a local bartender elsewhere recommended this place.

I normally like to try all different places while vacationing somewhere new, but ended up at Tukari 4 times. It was only about a block outside of the downtown madness, but felt like a much more secluded and quiet place. The ambiance is great, the service was one of the best I had all week, cocktails were great, and the food was great. Thank you Tukari for multiple great experiences!
