Charlie Higgins is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter who, along with his band Sunset Station, has earned a strong reputation for delivering top-tier live music at private events in Sayulita, throughout Bahía de Banderas and beyond. Do you travel outside of Sayulita/Bahia de Banderas?
Yes! We are happy to perform at events in other parts of Mexico. So far we’ve played in Guadalajara, San Jose de Cabo, Zihuantenejo, San Miguel de Allende and Ajijic.
How do payments work?
Our preferred methods of payment are via Zelle or PayPal. We have a U.S. bank account and it’s just easier than having you bring a ton of cash with you to Mexico!
Can we request special songs?
Absolutely! Every booking includes at least three custom song requests. We’re happy to learn more depending on the fit and lead time.
Do you provide a microphone for speeches?
Yes, we have a good sounding and reliable wireless microphone that works up to a distance of 20 meters or so.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 6–12 months ahead, especially for peak season (November–April). We recommend reaching out early to reserve your date.

Not only did they put together a perfect setlist for the occasion, but they were also flexible and happy to adjust on the fly as needed.
I really can't recommend them highly enough.
The coolest part, in my opinion as the bride, is that the band was there during dinner and speeches and wove in special lines from our Best Man and Maid of Honor toasts throughout the evening. Being referenced as "Sparkles & Mr Clean" was HILARIOUS and made us feel so special and it feel really intimate and personal (which you want at your own event!!). Stevie & Charlie are an awesome duo that are super engaging and really vibe off of each other well.
Everything leading up to the event was super seamless and low stress. We reached out to Charlie via Instagram last summer and he has been an absolute joy to work with through each step of the process, even reaching out directly to my planner to confirm a few final details and even come set up and sound check early. Charlie also took the liberty to put together a playlist for the set breaks (that I promised I'd provide but my pre-wedding scatter brain got the best of me) -- it was perfect and very cohesive with our preselected set songs.
Charlie culminated the perfect set list order to keep it engaging and high energy all night, for all ages. He is truly a professional and remarkable at how he coordinates, communicates, and executes.
I would recommend Charlie & Sunset Station to ANYONE looking to throw the best event of their lives. 100000/10 recommend this crew!!!
