Love it!

We absolutely love this place! A wrong turn up the hill turned our eyes to this Sayulita gem. Amazing ambience, exceptional hosts, and amazing tapas and cheese boards. The cocktails are crafted perfectly and the cigar lounge had a great selection (including my first Cuban). John and his wife are amazing humans and make everyone feel right at home at Bar Sanctum - we can’t wait to get back!

I had a lovely experience at Bar Sanctum last night. It’s a really chill tapas, wine, and Cuban cigar lounge/bar. Also — THEY HAVE AIR CONDITIONING — unlike pretty much everywhere else in Sayulita where you’re just sitting, melting in the heat and humidity. Being able to hang out inside, cool and comfortable, was such a nice change.

I had some delicious cocktails, plus my first-ever Cuban cigar while chatting with John and his wife, who own the place. John is super knowledgeable about Cuba, which made for really interesting conversation. The cigar was incredibly smooth. (And if you’re not into cigars, don’t worry — the cigar lounge is separate from the rest of the bar.)

Overall, it’s a really well-done lounge. Great vibe, great people, great cigars, and again — air conditioning. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Sayulita and want something a little different from the usual beer and tacos.

Awesome place!

Probably the classiest bar in Sayulita. Fully air conditioned with beautiful interior design. A wall of glass lets you view the comings and goings from your sanctuary inside. The wine list is extensive and not the typical bottles you see around town, with many available by the glass. Cocktails are delicious and have a twist on the usual. There's a separate cigar shop attached, with well curated selections. And to top it off they have an amazing chef with small bites to accompany.
