Innovative and beautiful design.
I had the pleasure of working with Palma on two projects, and their work was nothing short of exceptional. Their creativity, precision, and ability to blend architecture with its natural surroundings truly set them apart.
The first home was a minimalist, brutalist remodel, and the result was stunning. The raw concrete, clean lines, and thoughtful use of space worked beautifully within the jungle setting. Palma’s design approach emphasized simplicity while maximizing light, airflow, and a connection to the environment.
The second home was a conversion of an old schoolhouse into a residence. For this project, Palma collaborated with Adrian Ramirez Siller, whose work I also deeply admire. Together, they preserved the essence of the original building while transforming it into a modern, livable space.
Throughout both projects, Palma’s attention to detail, material selection and budget was outstanding.
If you’re looking for an architecture firm that excels in both modern minimalism and adaptive reuse, I highly recommend Palma. Their work, especially in collaboration with Adrian Ramirez Siller on my schoolhouse conversion was inspiring, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Incredible Creative Vision Paired with Flawless Execution!
We hired Palma to manage a yearlong project to re-imagine, re-design, and re-construct our beach-front house in Sayulita, and I could not be more pleased with how this came out. The final design was so much better than i could have ever imagined - both modern, but still keeping with the style and feel of Sayulita and the rest of our complex. Where Palma really stands out was their management of the entire process; they were highly responsive, thorough, communicative, and treated our house as if it were their own. My only criticism of Palma is that I can't convince them work on a house i have up in the States. I wouldn't hesitate to have them do more work for me, and highly recommend them.

Creative and contemporary designs combined with excellent communication
I reached out to a few architects when looking to design my brand new home. My project was large and ambitious. I got some unreasonably high quotes and poor communication. I saw PALMA had designed the Thai restaurant in town and looked them on this site. PALMA's quote was fair and Juan Luis is very good at listening and hearing your input. The contract was straight forward and terms were easy to understand. They came up with a creative design that took advantage of the foot print of the lot and orientation of the view and harnessed the breeze (all important non-tangible features.) Juan Luis is very organized and detail-oriented which helped me trust that my project was in good hands. They offer good suggestions and creative solutions with a keen eye for design. Like all design solutions there is a constant back and forth between aesthetic and practicality that must be navigated. I recommend working with PALMA architects to create the blueprints for your future home!

This trio of talented architects splits their time between CDMX and Sayulita. The hip, urban sensibility of PALMA, blends seamlessly with the laidback lifestyle of the beach. Juan Luis is multicultural, multilingual and incorporates knowledge and an artistic expression derrived from living in both Mexico and Europe.
PALMA designed a 3 level condo with a rooftop pool for our lot. The terrain and shape of the lot were challenging, but these guys came up with an elegant solution.
We have been excited to work with them from day one, to the delivery of final documents. Great communication, original concepts and timely execution. Highly recommended!

Great Design Great Price
Juan Luis and the team at Palma designed and built my restaurant in Sayulita, and they absolutely killed it!
Starting with the design process they were able to create a highly functioning and efficient layout that cut no corners in terms of design. Then they applied quality construction and unique finishing elements, such as a herringbone brick floor to tie it all together. Through all the process they were highly responsive, totally honest, and, completed on time and on budget.
