Description

Casa Barefoot in Sayulita is a two-bedroom home located in a very private and quite section of Gringo Hill that is only a five-minute walk to Sayulita’s center plaza, and only two more minutes to the main beach. The property provides glorious views of the Sayulita jungle, Monkey Mountain, and sunsets, but nothing beats a sunset on the beach.

Walk directly out of your bedroom, the kitchen, or living room to the casa’s spectacular large pool that boasts a shallow “splash zone” for kids of all ages.

The master bedroom is well appointed with a luxurious king-sized bed featuring Egyptian cotton sheets, a handmade Oaxacan bedspread, and fabulous pillows. Two sets of hand-crafted French doors open to the pool and a small palapa covered veranda. The space is air conditioned, and provides ample closet space, and a secure lock box. The Master Bathroom features his and her sinks atop gorgeous Parota wood counter tops and a beautiful custom made stone walk-in shower with rain head.

The second bedroom provides a queen bed, as well as a loft area with a queen-sized bed for the adventurous sleeper. It has a private bathroom with a stunning walk-in rock shower and rain head. The space is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan for when only a soft breeze is needed.

The kitchen that is open to the living room area, is fully equipped with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, a six-burner gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, air fryer, and all everything else you would possibly need to enjoy a self-made meal or local carry out. The dining table can seat up to six, and the kitchen bar has seating for four.

The living room is super comfortable with two built-in couches that can serve as twin beds, a cocktail table, chairs, and a smart TV for this who need to be “entertained”.

Lastly, and possibly most importantly, the pool patio is perfect for soaking up the sun, gazing at the stars, or simply whiling away the lazy days under the shade of the pergola. The property is tastefully landscaped with tropical foliage and fruit trees, and you are certain to see a few iguanas checking you out. We have a delightful outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach or showering under the night sky bright with stars. All good!

Your initial payment can be made for the deposit only or the entire rental amount. If you are reserving now for a booking with a check-in date less than 30 days, then you will need to pay in full to confirm your reservation.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or change your reservation, a full refund of your deposit will be given up to 30 days prior to your arrival date. After 30 days, we will refund only if we can re-rent the house for the same dates. Note that we do not offer refunds on partial stays for any reason.

Casa Barefoot is the place to stay!

We loved this home in Sayulita! It was very comfortable for our family of five (three kids including one tween and two teens). It’s an easy, picturesque walk to and from town. The beds were super comfy and the AC units quickly cooled the rooms when we needed them to. Having a well-appointed kitchen was great, although we ate most of our meals in town. The recommendations in the book left by the hosts are all spot on! The hosts were extremely responsive and friendly. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends!

Absolutely perfect!

Just spent an amazing week in Sayulita. There was many homes to choose from but this was by far the best pick. We traveled with 3 adults and 2 kids (age 3 and 8 months), the house was perfect for kids; Private pool with a splash pad, floaties for the littles and sand toys. House water was safe to drink and there were no water problems taking a shower (cant find water like this everywhere in MX). AC systems work great for the hot humid weather (we come from snowy winters). The house is close enough to the beach but still a nice distance from the night time party life noise. Bed was so comfy. Housekeeper stopped by mid week to tighty the place, she did an amazing job, she made the place look untouched again. The pool guy came by few times x week, did not notice his presence but did notice his work; the pool was always clean. Had a couple iguana neighbors which was pretty cool sightseeing from the pool. Jeff was a great host, easy to communicate and fast to reply. Overall our stay was 10/10

Perfecto!

This was our second time at Casa Barefoot and it was amazing once again! The indoor/outdoor living spaces, the kitchen, the bedrooms, the floor-to-ceiling views of the pool area and jungle, and of course, the pool itself — all so incredible! Very accessible down Gringo Hill to centro/town and the beach and also a great coffee shop, organic store, tienda, local restaurants if you go down the hill the other way. Our hosts were incredible and we wished that we had stayed longer! #stayulita

Spectacular in every way

Everything we could've asked for

Casa Barefoot is just beautiful! It’s clean, spacious, the furniture is all comfy, and you can really tell how much thought went into decorating. It was great and we felt at home. Very close to downtown which is fun! The pool area was amazing.
I would definitely recommend renting a golf cart or side by side, especially if you plan to be on the go every day of your trip. The road to get to the house is long and steep, but the Gringo Hill area is super cool!

Wonderful retreat home

We loved our stay at Casa Barefoot! Beautiful home & accommodations. Pool was exceptional, constantly enjoyed by our 11 yr old. Great tips from the owners, Jeff & Cindy. AC was excellent. It was nice to be a little removed from town, which can be noisy. A couple markets are only 1 block away. We ended up renting a golf cart because our 16 yr old injured his foot, and could charge it easily in the garage. We BBQ'd mahi mahi & shrimp for taco dinners, plus had most breakfasts & lunches there. Sweet & lovely vacation home. Thank you Jeff & Cindy!
